«All Screwed up»
About the film: A group of southern Italians who have immigrated to modern Milan to work and find happiness meet and fall in love. They rent an apartment in an old building, which they must defend against the greed of real estate profiteers.
The protagonists share not only the house, but also the hopes and worries that were part of Italian society in those years.
A spotlight on the miserable fate of country people in the industrial city of Milan: a partly tearful and exaggerated satire of the Italian "North-South conflict" by Fellini's student Lina Wertmüller, who tackles social problems with slapstick.
